Finnair Plus: Match Your EuroBonus Status to Oneworld — Free Lounge Access on BA, Qatar & Cathay

Finnair is currently accepting status match applications from SAS EuroBonus members — and the deal is worth paying attention to.

If you hold EuroBonus Silver, Gold, Diamond or Pandion status, you can match directly into Finnair Plus and unlock Oneworld alliance benefits across British Airways, Qatar Airways, Cathay Pacific, American Airlines and more.

Here's what you get depending on your current EuroBonus tier:

EuroBonus Silver → Finnair Plus Silver (Oneworld Ruby). Priority check-in and boarding, extra baggage allowance on Finnair flights, and Avios earning at an accelerated rate.

EuroBonus Gold, Diamond or Pandion → Finnair Plus Gold (Oneworld Sapphire). This is the sweet spot. You get worldwide business class lounge access on any Oneworld carrier, priority everything, extra checked bags, and guaranteed seat availability up to 48 hours before departure.

The real hidden gem: Finnair Plus Gold members receive four one-way upgrade vouchers. These let you upgrade from Economy to Business on Finnair flights — short-haul or long-haul. In previous status match rounds, matched members have received these vouchers, effectively giving you up to four business class experiences at economy prices. Think Helsinki to Tokyo in business for the cost of an economy ticket.

To qualify, you need a Finnair Plus account (free to create) and one qualifying Finnair booking — either a long-haul flight or a short-haul trip touching Sweden, Denmark or Norway. Economy Light fares and above count. Superlight does not.
