How many points do I need?

Prices on SAS-operated long-haul flights are fixed. They do not change with the season or with how full the flight is.

  • Prices are per person, for one adult.
  • SAS adds taxes and fees in cash at checkout. You see the amount before you pay.
  • Partner airlines are priced by the region you fly to, and quoted as a return. The partner board shows the price on every trip it publishes.

SAS or a partner airline?

SAS-operated flights

  • Nonstop from Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo.
  • Business, Premium Economy or Economy.
  • Priced one way, so you can book a single leg.

SkyTeam partner flights

  • More airlines and more destinations.
  • Business, shown as a complete round trip.
  • Checked against SAS before we publish them.
  • 8,377 trips to 102 cities right now.

When do award seats appear?

An empty calendar usually means the seats have not been released yet, not that the flight is full. SAS puts its schedule on sale before it releases award seats, and most Business seats appear close to departure.

How do I book?

  1. Find a trip on RoamSnap.
  2. Sign in to your EuroBonus account at SAS.
  3. Complete the booking and pay the taxes and fees.

One exception. An open jaw, where you fly home from a different city than you flew into, cannot be booked online. SAS takes those over the phone. You get one per booking, and both away cities must sit in the same award zone.

We have not published a click-by-click walkthrough of the SAS booking flow yet, because we have not walked it ourselves.

More about the data

Every figure on this page is read from SAS’s own award booking engine and logged over time, 59 days so far across 17 long-haul destinations, with Business seats seen at 15 of them. None of it is estimated or crowd-sourced.

Glossary
Award seat
A seat the airline sells for points instead of money. Only a few go on sale per flight.
EuroBonus
SAS’s loyalty programme. You need an account to book any of these seats.
SkyTeam
The airline group SAS belongs to. Your points also buy seats on the other airlines in it.
Award zone
A price band. On partner airlines SAS charges by the region you fly to.
Open jaw
Flying home from a different city than you flew into. One per booking, over the phone.
Taxes and fees
The cash part, charged by SAS at checkout on top of the points.

Points prices are per person and are what SAS charged at the time we observed them. SAS adds taxes and fees in cash at checkout. Award availability changes without notice, so always confirm on sas.se before booking. RoamSnap is independent and not affiliated with SAS or any airline. EuroBonus is a trademark of its owner.
